Polar Bear Attack, Victim Survives
These are pictures of an actual polar bear attack in Churchill. These pictures were taken while people watched and did nothing to stop the attack! Local newspaper say that the victim has made full recovery.

An Old Man And His Garden
An old Italian man lived alone in New Jersey. He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden; but it was very difficult work as the ground was hard.
His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:
Dear Vincent,
I am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won't be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.
Love, Papa
A few days later he received this letter from his son:
Dear Pop,
Don't dig up that garden. That's where the bodies are buried.
Love, Vinnie
At 6 am the next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left. That same day the old man received another letter from his son.
Dear Pop,
Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That's the best I could do under the circumstances.

A Certain Red Sox Fan Singing A Floyd Tune With Sinead & Friends
Most of you who know me, are sure to understand my deep appreciation for this clip! My main man Leland turned me towards this vid. Floyd performing "Mother" with Sinead O'Connor on lead VOX and 3 of my favorite musicians ever, surrounding her: Garth Hudson on accordion with his beautiful silver main warming his rosy cheeks. Rick Danko, belting every word of his backup vocals like they were his last. And of course, head honcho, Levon Helm, also on backup vocals, with beard straight as can be, and a jolly old Sox hat atop his humble head. So great!
I would also, please, like to add how sick it would have been to be at this performance! Look at that line up! I would have been rapidly soaking my way through my weeping towel (as a close friend calls it). Sickness...

Light party to the next level showcasing an over the top light show
with crazy on stage production. To be blunt, this will not be your
standard down town dance party. Attendees are encouraged to wear

Kid and D Cutz will open the show with LDPS providing the headlining

Police hunt 'The Midnight Knitter' wool graffiti bandit
A guerilla knitter is gradually covering a New Jersey town in brightly coloured wool - and authorities have no clue who the rogue crafter is.
Pulling the wool: The guerilla knitter's work on display in West Cape May's Wilbraham ParkAn unknown person or persons - dubbed 'The Midnight Knitter' by West Cape May residents - is covering tree branches and lamp poles with little sweaters under cover of darkness.
Mayor Pam Kaithern says police are looking into the knitted graffiti, which is technically against the law, as it is being done on public property without permission.
However, the mayor and many residents admit they're delighted by the woolly rainbow of colours that has popped up.
Local resident Susan Longacre admires one of The Midnight Knitter's knitted lamppost'We don’t know who it is. Technically, they shouldn’t be doing it. The police are asking about it, but it’s fun and it’s a mystery,' Kaithern told local newspaper The Press of Atlantic City.
And she added that she's not even that keen for police to get to the bottom of the affair. 'Lets' keep it a mystery,' she said.
The knitter even has a website, a Facebook page and a MySpace, under the name of 'Salty Knits', where they describe themselves as 'Knitters that got sick of knitting kitten mittens.'
The Facebook page is filled with overwhelmingly positive comments about the undercover needlework. One said: 'Don't give in to requests for you all to identify yourselves . . . just keep doing what you're doing. Mystery is nice.'
Wrapped up warm: 'Salty Knits' strikes againThe rogue knitter is happy with the attention the woolwork has been getting - but is now concerned that the added attention may make it harder to carry out their work, saying on Facebook a few hours ago: 'Today has been so crazy. Now we have to figure out how to put new tags up without being spotted!'
Guerilla knitting has been an increasingly widespread phenomenon over the past few years, with yarn enthusiasts taking to the streets of cities around the world to encase parts of them in wool.

This film is great. So much emotion, and so easy to make! The whole time I was watching this (not to mention how captivated I was) I was saying to myself "Why didn't I think of this?". I don't usually love silent shorts, but this one is only 1/2 silent. The only sounds we don't get to hear are the voices of the girl and the guy. Very well done!

2) Think about some interesting scenes to shoot. Scene should include some moving objects as they look very interesting in your ‘miniature’ world. People, cars etc works great!
3) Experiment how fast to take shots. there are no standarts how much frames per second you should take, just play arond and see what works for you best.
4) Try to shoot from above. Remember – you are trying to create miniature effect!
5) Search for some great music track as it helps to create right feeling. You can also play with frames, even add some effects that match music when editing video.

I'm Watching/Listening To...
RJD2 - Work It Out (Music Video)
This is pretty old but I recently stumbled upon it minutes after playing the song on my comp, so it only made sense to post it. Rumor has it, this crutch-dancer is actually crippled. Dude is half vegetable and he is 10 times cooler than I'll ever be.
(www.spinner.com) Post hip-hop troubadour RJD2 teamed with dance and media artist Bill Shannon for the 'Work It Out' video. Shannon, born with a degenerative hip condition, developed a way to express himself through dance (and even skateboarding) on crutches. Director Joey Garfield took to the streets of New York and captured one continuous shot of Shannon, injecting RJD2 into random roles throughout the video.
